CONSIDER AND ACT: on Appointments to the SMU Land Sale Reserve Committee, the Texas and Southwest Higher Education Authorities, and the Zoning Ordinance Advisory Committee

BACKGROUND:
Mayor Holmes has asked this item be placed on the Agenda so that appointments can be made to committees as follows:
1. Initial appointment of two former Council members to the SMU Land Sale Reserve
Committee. Membership on this Committee consists of the Mayor, Chair of the
Finance Advisory Committee, Chair of the Capital Projects Review Committee
and two former Council members. The two former Council members need to be
appointed.
2. Appointment of a new member to the Southwest and Texas Higher Education
Committees. This individual will replace Tarek El-Yafi who resigned due to his
move from University Park.
3. Appointment of a new member to the Zoning Ordinance Advisory Committee.
This individual will replace Mark Farrell who resigned due to his move from
University Park.
Once Council has completed the appointments, staff will prepare notification letters to the new committee members.
