BACKGROUND:
On June 16, 2009 a presentation was given before the City Council regarding the statistical data from the automated parking enforcement equipment for the time period of January 1, 2009 through May 31, 2009.
This report contains updated information for the time period of January 1, 2009 through September 30, 2009. Citations for the past nine (9) months have increased almost 10% over the same time period of 2008. This includes all parking citations issued by the parking enforcement official in the areas of Snider Plaza, the Residential Parking District, areas around the Middle School and on Hillcrest south of Daniel. The total number of parking citations issued in Snider Plaza for the same time period in 2008 was 152, and the total number of parking citations issued in Snider Plaza for 2009 is 225. This is a 48% increase for that area.
